Muhammad Ali Quotes

This activity requires students to interpret three of Muhammad Ali's greatest quotes.

Lesson

Introduction (10 minutes):

Begin with a short discussion about who Muhammad Ali was, including his boxing career, activism, and reputation for memorable quotes. Ask students what they think makes a quote powerful or meaningful.

Activity Instructions (25 minutes):

Explain that students will read several quotes by Muhammad Ali and write what they think each one means. Encourage them to think deeply and personally about the words. Below are the quotes and space for student interpretation:
