Use this Activity:

Discuss - First, ask students if they think the Boston Tea Party was an actual party.  Ask them if it was like any party they’ve ever been to. Wait for responses.  Then, read the narrative aloud or have students read it to themselves, or, in pairs. Next, ask why the event, that was once known as the Destruction of the Tea, became known as the Boston Tea Party. Explain that the Boston Tea Party was a protest against the British Government. Why were the Sons of Liberty protesting?
Reading Groups - This passage serves as an excellent tool for enrichment-based reading groups in language arts or social studies.
Morning Work - The activity takes most students about 20 minutes to complete, making it an ideal solution for morning work. It can be part of a series of Revolutionary War-themed comprehension activities offered to students as morning work.
Homework - This activity is a great way to assign homework in social studies or language arts.
Whiteboard - Have students come to the whiteboard to annotate important information or to circle the correct answers to the multiple choice questions.
