The Noble Train - Revolutionary War Game

Can you guide the noble train of weapons and artillery from Fort Ticonderoga to Boston? Students play the role of Henry Knox and have 56 days to bring the oxen-drawn sleds 300 miles in the dead of winter. Use your knowledge of the Revolutionary War to advance but watch out for blizzards, wolf packs, ice storms, and yetis. Super fun!
 
 

Use this Activity:

Challenge- This is a super fun Revolutionary War adventure game based on Henry Knox's Noble Train of Artillery from Fort Ticonderoga to Boston. Students must purchase oxen and answer the multiple choice questions to advance along the 300 mile-long path. If they answer incorrectly, they'll have to face one of the path's many "hazards" such as wolfpacks, blizzards, and the elusive yeti. Students can save their games and return to the same computer to complete them.
Enrichment - This is a great activity for students to challenge themselves with when they have completed assigned work.
Collaborative Learning - Students will love playing this game in pairs or small groups.
Whiteboard - This game can serve as a whole-class challenge on the whiteboard. Each morning you can lead students to make progress on the path by answering two or three questions.
