Make a Pirate Logo |
This fun activity discusses pirate-themed mascots in sports and then challenges students to design a new pirate logo on a football helmet. This activity will activate imagination and creativity. |
Use this Activity: |
| Explain/Brainstorm - Explain to students that pirates are popular topics in pop culture and serve as mascots in sports. See if students can name some teams that feature pirates as logos (Pittsburgh Pirates, Las Vegas Raiders, Tampa Bay Buccaneers etc.). Ask them why pirates are popular mascots. If possible, display some of these pirate mascots on the whiteboard and sexplain to students they will have the opportunity to design their own pirate mascot for use on a football helmet. |
