| Explain/Brainstorm - Read the introduction to the assignment and further explain the concept of the unsung hero. Brainstorm with students such heroes in movies, books, literature, sports, or even video games. Explain that Sacagwea was an unsung hero in the Lewis and Clark expedition for many years until she came into prominence recently when she was honored on a United States $1 coin. |
