Use this Activity:

Extend/Discuss - Tell students that Lewis and Clark worked very well together and had different skill sets that contributed to the success of the journey. Propose the following questions to the group and call on participants: Why do you think this was important to the success of the Lewis and Clark expedition? How might this be helpful in school projects, jobs, or in businesses?
Reading Groups - This is a great activity in which to conduct a reading workshop within reading groups. Have students read the passages and work together to determine if each statement applies to Lewis or Clark.
Independent Work- This activity takes students about 15-20 minutes.
Morning Work This activity is a great way to start the day, or reading or social studies classes.
Homework - This can be a quick and easy homework assignment.
